Marc Oliver Wright

Marc-Oliver Wright is the corporate director of infection control for NorthShore University HealthSystem, Evanston, Illinois. Wright oversees a dynamic infection control program with responsibilities for four acute care hospitals and more than 75 ambulatory care centers. He is certified in infection prevention and control. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, a Master’s of Science degree in Epidemiology and advanced training in public health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining NorthShore, Wright was an epidemiologist at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation in Wisconsin and an infection control practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Currently president of the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of APIC, Wright is a member of APIC and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. He serves on the APIC Science and Knowledge Implementation Network (ASK-IN™), Informatics task force, and the editorial board for the American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC). He has published in AJIC, Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, Emerging Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Infectious Diseases.
